overheats over long distances

This has been ongoing since 2012. Chrysler will not stand behind it. I have an email from corporate telling me that the cv transmission does this. I just need to pull over and let it cool then it will be fine. Also told me if I wasn't happy I could trade it in, really?

We serviced the transmission at the dealer which took 1 entire week. Very dissatisfied with Jeep and owner loyalty of their product. I do a 3 hour trip and the vehicle transmission will get hot, turn the overheat light on, and just quit moving on interstate 4 in Orlando. Nice job Chrysler. Mechanics even told me they should replace it.

Mark my words. I'm working on going after their ass. 3 hour ride took me 5 1/2 hours and the safety part of not being able to move the vehicle. I recommend everyone get the word out on the Compass. Hell even Jeep as far as I'm concerned and we are and have been a Jeep family but years of buying doesn't mean anything at all.

June of 2013 my vehicle transmission overheated during a drive from Fresno, Ca to Phoenix AZ. I let it cool for 30min and was able to drive to dealership. They diagnosed it and said the dip stick was broken so they replaced it and changed the transmission fluid. Manufacturer warranty did not cover it I paid $300 out of pocket.

Now Aug 18, 2014 vehicle transmission overheated during a drive from Fresno, Ca. to Las Vegas NV. I took it to the dealer and they advised me that they have had transmission problem with this vehicle with the same issues. They said they can not recreate a long distant test therefore transmission light will not come on, therefore it will not be covered under manufactures warranty. I have read online that other have had the same problem. Nothing is being done about it. Now I'm stuck with a vehicle I can not take out of town.
