This is my sons car. He dislikes the car but paid more then it is worth. He has complied about the transmission running rough and over heating on him. He said he talked to a dealer and said the transmission was not serviceable and it would have to be replaced. He is in the Navy and when he got orders, he would have to travel from Fl to WA and did not trust it. He left it in my driveway and told me to drive it as much as I want. I am driving it only 3 miles to work and back.

I was an aircraft mechanic in the Coast Guard and have been looking into replacing the transmission fluid. Have been searching for the capped off tube for the transmission, "that is not serviceable", and after looking all over, I realized the tube is not where it is suppose to be, that the tube is broken off at the weld for bracket. That is why the transmission is running rough the fluid is venting out. I will order the parts to replace tube and cap and parts to change transmission filter and fluid and see how it runs after that.
