The contact owns a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The seat shook when the contact entered the vehicle. While driving 2 mph, the seat loosened and detached from the vehicle. The dealer stated that the steel structure had torn. The current mileage is 143,622 and failure mileage was 143,220. Updated 02-01-08. The consumer stated the seat frame failed which casued the seat to separate while the vehicle was moving. Updated

The consumer stated that 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was having an problem with the front sea slider that adjusted the seat on driver's side. The bolt was going through the bracket. The seat was rocking back and forth. The consumer noticed this about 2 months ago when the bolt was dislodging and making a clinging sound. The consumer investigated the noise further and found that the bolt was coming through the bracket. The consumer was on the NHTSA website and found that there were other complaints on this issue. The consumer was taking the Jeep in for repairs tomorrow.

There is a problem with electrical system causing fuel light to come on or not come on when fuel is low. Alarm system is malfunctioning. Driver's seat memory is no longer functional. Keyless remote works sporadically. Owner has been to dealer numerous times for these intermittent problems.
