My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo has been a good vehicle to me. Only recently did the transmission start to show problems when i put it in Drive. It didn't want to shift into the next gear. I had to place it in Neutral and then try again for several times and then finally it went ahead. I took it home and parked it. Today, 3-16-13 I drove it locally and stopped and went as much as possible and nothing happened. Not sure what to make of it and when to expect it again and find myself in Limp Mode and a long way from home. I bought the vehicle brand new and I have been the only owner so I know I have taken good care of it. Fixing it is the only option I care to consider. "The best car payment is no car payment." However, assistance with what this might be and assistance for repair cost would be beneficial.
