Black woodgrain is starting to bubble and peel away from the plastic molding underneath. Seemed like a small and simple fix but the price quoted is over 500.00. Seems like a product defect here. Anyone have anything similar?

This issue should result in a class action, it is directly resulting in a reduction to the resale value of my Jeep. It kills me to get into the driver seat (especially on the day my bank note is taken out) and look at the cheap bubbling dash. I was already denied once by Jeep (even though I'm barely over factory warranty and I have the Maximum Care extended warranty). I have opened another ticket and plan to keep bothering them on the phone, via email and with Twitter rants until they cave.

I just bought some really good leather conditioner and gave the whole thing a generous serving of Leather Honey. I read that covering the dash with a garbage bag in direct sun will "sweat" the leather and help relax it. Then I plan on reapplying more conditioner. I know it won't fix the issue, but I'm hoping it can slow the process. If they do ever agree to replace my dash I will be requesting the cheap plastic dash from the Laredo.

I love my jeep grand cherokee! That being said, I have been annoyed for a long time about the problem with the glue and or material used on the dash. (I do have photos) First my dash had minor wrinkles, but over time, it is so wrinkled that friends who ride with me ask about it. I DON'T understand why a large reputable company, would not have jumped on the chance to fix this problem when it is probably as simple as changing the glue, I'm ready to purchase a 2017 something, but not so sure it will be another jeep. Sincerely hoping that JEEP will see all these complaints and decide to take responsibility and ACT quickly to maintaining their customers.

The leather on my dashboard of my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is starting to bubble and it look like hell. This is my third Grand Cherokee and I thought I was buying the top of the line with the Overland, guess I was wrong. This defiantly sounds like a quality control issue based on the number of complaints I'm reading on line. At some point I'm wondering if this will turn into a safety issue with the leather coming loose a blocking the windshield defrosters.

Car not 2 yrs old dealer said it was out of warranty. The leather on the dashboard has bubbled up the entire length of the dashboard.
