Routine oil change found radiator leaking. Replaced radiator and coolant. Only had a few months left on the extended warranty. Odd that a radiator leak occurs in this model.

Grand Cherokee Limited 3.2L V6

Had to replace the radiator on 2015 jeep grand cherokee with only 64,000 miles. This was discovered during a reg. maintenance oil change .

I'm 68 yrs. old. No off road driving .Never towed anything No boat, No trailer ,No camper nothing.

I asked the mechanics if they had see this on other jeeps and they told me yes. You would think Jeep / fiat / chrysler would be putting more dependable equipment on their vehicle .

Grand Cherokee Summit 3.6L V6

I would occasionally smell engine coolant, when vehicle was in for routine service, mentioned to service advisor. Technician discovered small tank on left side of radiator was seeping out coolant.

Dealer did replace radiator, replace engine coolant, at my expense, as basic warranty had expired at 36,000 miles, and this was not covered under the powertrain warranty. I did contact Chrysler customer service to inform of my displeasure at part failure after 2-1/2 years.

In 50 years of owning vehicles, there was no radiator problems, this early in vehicle life. I bought the summit new, have had vehicle maintained by dealer service department.

I feel Jeep should have at minimum, partially cover the expense of this repair
