- Summary
- Blind Spot Detection Sensor If you are replacing this part due to a customer complaint of "Blind spot alert unavailable - wipe rear bumper", please read the following instructions before proceeding. 1) Verify that the rear bumper is clear of any obstructions. The process to clear the blockage message involves first cycling the ignition. 2) The vehicle must be driven on the road and pass/be passed by vehicles on both the left and right sides. After completing those steps, the blockage message will clear and the system will function as designed. Please call Zaid Almasarweh (586) 258-6771 if the previous steps do not correct the problem. If there is no response within 15 minutes, please continue with your normal diagnostic process.
