The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start immediately, but started after the second attempt. The battery was replaced; however, soon after the battery replacement, the failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken to a dealer. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was informed that the failure was related to the fuel pump or the electrical system. The vehicle was not repaired and remained withthe dealer. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The contact stated that the vehicle eventually started after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the dealer could not determine the cause of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.
