Rubicon JK 3.2L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 3,000 miles

I spent over $6000.00 at various places, trying to find a fix that would not need the Jeep front end modified, to assure that I did NOT Void the Warranty. Everyone knows that the front end has to be modified in order to repair the Death Wobble for good. However, the entire time that I had the warranty, Chrysler denied knowing anything about the death wobble, when in fact we find out now that they did know about it and failed to do anything about it.

They purposefully waited for the early model Jeeps warranty's to expire so they did not have to pay for any Death Wobble repairs. Only recently have they been forced to admit that they have known the entire time, that most all early model JK Jeeps have the exact same design as the 2015-2022 Jeeps that they are now allowed to be compensated for the repairs. Early models are SOL because they are now out of warranty! My 2008 has not been fixed for the death wobble. I cannot afford to fix it now. I spent all of my savings trying to get it repaired under the Chrysler denial/warranty. It is out of warranty and I will be damned if I can get any attorney to talk to me because it is out of warranty. Chrysler has completely screwed me and plenty of early model JK's 2007-2014. They strategically waited for them to expire so they did not have to pay.

Also, Chrysler KNEW about the death wobble but lied about it until they were taken to court. The Death Wobble was NOT revealed in my contract as an added bonus feature or I would Not have purchased it. It is covered up in my backyard vehicle graveyard. It is a shame how they have treated me and others. If you have ANY suggestions, please feel free to email me. My Jeep has been shaken to DEATH and is one loosy goosey dangerous vehicle. It is falling apart and way to dangerous to drive, sadly, with only 104K miles. I cannot get rid of it without losing 90% of my investment. Everyone runs when I reveal the death wobble, like a good seller, unlike what Chrysler did Not reveal when I signed the contract. I was told at the time that they had the best resell value of all vehicles. Another lie and knife in the back.

I can't seem to get rid of this POS so I can buy a safe vehicle. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I have complained for years, since the first death wobble act on the freeway, within the first 3 months of buying it. I am a female. The Service Department told me 3 times that it was the way that I DRIVE! I am one pissed off customer. I cannot find a lawsuit that will include me, besides the Martinez VS FCA Chrysler that was supposedly dismissed. It had every one of my complaints. I do not know what else to do. The Code Enforcement in my area is now getting on my case about it being parked in the yard for the last 4 years. I am stuck! PLEASE ADVISE?! Thx, LesaB

This is pathetic. Jeep needs to do something about this. Have a recall or something, almost had a crash.

It doesn't happen all the time (and I've had it checked out 2x and they say it's fine) - but a violent wobble happens at exactly 55mph. So when it happens I either speed up or slow down. It feels like I'm going to crash. Apparently it's called the 'death wobble'!
