While driving in hybrid mode on a busy road at 40mph, my jeep wrangler 4xe shut down out of nowhere. I had 50% battery, a full tank of gas, and had only ever charged it with the charger from Jeep. It was brand new and I had it for only 5 days. The car sort of stalled, I was unable to accelerate, and the "D" on the gear shift was blinking. Extremely dangerous situation. Luckily I was able to coast to the right lane before the car completely stopped. It was completely locked up.
The only solution was to put the car in park, turn it off, and then turn back on. When I turned it back on, the check engine light was on. I then proceeded to drive it to the dealer to get looked at, and as I drove in hybrid mode the battery went from 47% to 17% only in a distance of 3.4 miles. Absolutely ridiculous.
