I bought my Kia Forte December 9, 2017. I paid it off March 2021. Just a few months after purchasing this vehicle, I began having issues with the headlights burning out. It would alternate between the driver and passenger sides every other week. And YES, I know not to touch the bulb which I made sure not to do when I had to change them in an emergency situation. It is dangerous to drive without headlights or brake lights at night or in inclement weather.. After a couple months, the problems started happening with the brake lights. It would alternate with headlights and brake lights going out. I have taken my vehicle to the dealer on multiple occasions and told them of the issues. The dealership "repaired" the recall on a seal for the brake light assembly, but my vehicle came out with other lighting issues on the interior. Of course, they said it was no fault of theirs although the issue did not happen until it was in the dealerships possession.
I take VERY good care of my vehicle. I have had regular maintenance and servicing on the vehicle. The last time I took it in for an oil change, my tire pressure sensor was damaged severely and caused it to come loose in the tire nearly causing a blowout. Of course, the dealership had nothing to do with the issue. I have tried reaching out to Kia for answers on the lighting issues for the headlights and brake lights, but they claim there are no recalls. I am curious why there haven't been any? Is this not a safety concern? I am tired of spending hard earned money to have the lights replaced or TRY to get an answer of why I have to pay an ungodly amount for something that seems to be an issue with MANY Kia owners. I love my Kia, but I am so frustrated with the lighting issues, that I would not recommend them to anyone of asked.
