We only had the vehicle 10 months, paid less than the cost of the new engine. Kia knew they had bad 2.0l and 2.4l 4 cylinder engines. The forte was not listed in the lawsuit but the engines are the same. Before we bought the vehicle there was a service report stating "Drivability concern". I called and asked about the issue and was told "We lost the keys so we couldn't check it".

I left several messages to the service manager, Andrew J. He never returned my call to explain the code or the issue. We bought the car anyway, big mistake!! They knew from doing the inspection that the engine was bad, didn't care. My son got less than 9k miles and still owes most of the cost of the piece of s*** La Fontain Kia sold us.
