More and more owners, including myself, are finding the dash to be snapping at kinds of times. Very inconsistent and all speculation at this point. Some have said changing the windshield has helped, but I've also had this done due to a giant rock breaking it up and had no change. Best guess is the changing temperature causes things to move and settle differently against each other. Either way, seems to be a feature rather than a bug, which is definitely annoying
