We have owned this car since December 2011. We did not have a problem until January 2018. When I fill the car with gas, leave it running, the check engine light comes on and the car spits and sputters and shuts off. It takes about 5 minutes to get the car started and running right. If we shut the car off to fill with gas it takes the 5 minutes to get it started. Between full and 1/2 tank you run the risk of the car spitting and sputtering periodically and it will also jump on you when you have the brake on almost pushing you out in to traffic. My husband is an ASE Master Tech and has checked the car over and over and there is no reason it should be doing this. There are no codes on it.
