Purchased a 2013 KIA Soul and the clutch blew up after only 11,000 miles. The clutch was replaced by Temecula's service department for $1,554 on 5/29/15. After driving my KIA Soul with the new clutch only 3,000 miles, first and second gears started making a grinding noise when shifting. The grinding noise was followed by a burning/smoking clutch. This same condition happened shortly before my clutch blew up before. Most of my PVs had standard transmissions and their clutches never had to be repaired. But, until now, none of them were KIAs. KIA owes me a new car. It looks like it will be an automatic this time.
