I will try to upload a video of the sound tomorrow. I never had a car that made noises as such. My last new vehicle was a 2017 Kia Sorento. Prior to that was a new 1998 Toyota Tacoma, and prior to that was 1987 new Toyota Tacoma. I did some research on the internet after driving my vehicle home from the dealership today. I took it there yesterday telling them there was a knocking/ticking noise. I was told it's because the engine is cold and on these models it's standard. I don't recall hearing that when I purchased the car, nor did I a few weeks after I had it. Maybe it was raining and I had my windows up during those times. I can't answer that. Just seems odd to me, especially after reading Class Action lawsuits against Kia and for the 4 cylinder engines in previous Sportages. I'm not sure what engine I have in mine. As I mentioned it was a brand new 2019 Kia Sportage EX with only 11 miles on it when I purchased it on 1/5/19. Now it has 1750 miles and I'm concerned I may have a lemon. Please keep me posted if anyone else is having similar issues.

Update from Mar 20, 2019: My 2019 Kia Sportage Ex has a knocking/ticking noise. When I purchased the car in Jan of this year, it only had 11 miles on it, now it has 1800. I can't seem to upload the video which has the sounds as this website only seems to allows still pictures, jpeg, etc. I have never had a car that made noises as such. All my cars have been brand new. Prior to the Sportage, I had a Kia Sorento and before that were Toyota Tacoma's of which were excellent trucks! I took my Kia Sportage to the dealership last week and was told it's because the engine is cold and on these models it's standard. I don't recall hearing that when I purchased the car nor after a few weeks of driving it. Maybe it was raining and I had my windows up. I did some research on the internet after driving my vehicle home from the dealership last week and found that there were Class Action lawsuits against Kia for the GDI 4 cylinder engines in previous Sportages. I'm not sure what specific engine I have. My concern is that I may have a lemon. Please keep me posted if anyone has similar issues or suggestions as to what it could be. Kia kept my car overnight, in addition to listening to my audio recordings. How can a new car make such an annoying sound?
