Takata recall... I received the recall notice several months ago...was told they did not have part at dealership and would be done later in year. Called again 8/17/17...told still do not have part.. they are up to year 2010 for repairs... and told to call back in a few months. In the meantime, they said all I could do is to not have anyone ride in passenger seat... very inconvenient to do for a year.
My only complaint is that I have been advised not to carry a passenger and am offered condolences for the inconvenience, but this problem has been known for nine months with no resolution. That is a long time to either not carry a passenger or worry if I do.
Takata recall: Considering when we were notified back in January of 2017 it is now August. Lexus should have these fixed by now. This is too long. There idea of a fix is not to let any passengers ride in your passenger seat until the airbag has been fixed. This might be ok for a month or so, but it is getting absurd now.

I received a letter regarding my Lexus, recall. Since the part is not available I was told to not drive the vehicle, and was given a rental car. Now I am stuck making pymt on a car, paying insurance on and state registration which I ve been forced to store. And driving an economy vehicle, not my luxury Lexus! with no known completion date insight. This is insane to say the least. If this car is a lemon why am I not allowed to turn it in as a lemon?
