: the contact stated the vehicle was involved in a rear end collision, and upon impact at 45 mph, the rear facing child safety seat detached from the base with the infant restrained inside without warning. The base remained secured by the seat belts. The contact retrieved the infant and the seat from the rear floorboard. The infant was not injured. The vehicle was totaled due to the extensive damage. The police were alerted, and a report was taken. The manufacturer was alerted. The child seat was an evenflo, model number 5751318P1, and the date of manufacturer was May 16, 2003. Updated
