Traction control light would randomly illuminate. Turning the car on and off again would clear the light but sometimes it came back right away. Other times it would disappear.

After the fourth or fifth time the light stayed on. Hill start assist will not work with TSC light.

After 3-4 days of light being on, malfunction indication light illuminates and I no longer have rear brake lights when pedal is applied. OBD scan indicates brake switch malfunction. Replacement took 10 minutes and a 30 dollar part.

I'd noticed my shifting leaver was not entirely disengaging acting a little odd... but wasn't a big issue... Also I've had a strange issue with the car that the tire pressure sensors NEVER work.... I've set them a dozen times had the dealership set them and they just don't work... (that issue aside) On a long cross country trip back for the fourth my tsc/dsc light comes on.... I called my dealership ranted raved in annoyance unsure if it was related..... get to mom's and bout two days later suddenly I can't move the engine lever brake pedal pushed won't start the car.....

urns out the BRAKE SENSOR WENT... with less than 30k on the car... and 3 years in and I'm out out of warranty... The local dealership covered it and well... Mazda customer service with some annoyance on on the phone to their complaint line...

This started about the same time the engine start button issue started ;again just after warranty expired . No help with free repair by dealer.

Very annoying when light comes and goes off at will. Going to try again today to see if dealer can fix.
