Flashing airbag light while driving. But it disappears by itself. Dealer and Mazda customer service say they cannot check it unless it is flashing when it is at dealership. It happened several times two months back and also happened recently. Unfortunately whenever we take it to dealership the flashing light disappeared.

2010 Mazda 5 passenger airbag light stays on indicating the air bag will not deploy in the event of an accident. Passenger's weight is 99 lbs. Manual has 66 lbs as minimum weight to activate airbag. Mazda usa and the dealer have been contacted and attempts have been made to recalibrate the seat without success. Another Mazda 5 and 2 Mazda 3's on the lot revealed the same alleged defect.
