Driving down the freeway late at night, headlights turned off, on, off, continuous flickering. By fiddling with the light switch I kept them on seconds at time, long enough to make it home -- about 35 miles. While the headlights were acting up, which was the entire trip (with short periods staying on) all four needles on the dash were going crazy.

This was a week ago. My favorite shop put their engine analyzer on it and found no clues. I only drive it during daylight hours; the dancing needles (a minute or so at a time) show that the headlights are still doing their thing.

I haven't had it back to the shop because nothing has changed.

I'd greatly appreciate some advice.
