While on a lift in a shop getting eibach lowering springs installed, the mechanic noticed that the front tie rod or sway bar, one of the two (its been a few years since I sold the car) was rusted and determined to have never been bolted from the factory. This was obviously not installed from the factory and a very huge safety issue, and in fact may have been the cause of an accident I had been in a month prior in which I couldn't swerve around an obstacle in the road.
