This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driver side mirror shakes or vibrates at normal driving speeds (city and highway) on flat paved roads. The shake or vibration is excessive making the images of vehicles shaky. It is worse in the night time with shaky images of headlights. It can be considered as a safety issue as the vehicles in the mirror are not clearly visible leading to near collision during changing lanes. Repeated attempts to replace the mirror with the dealer has not corrected the issue and the manufacturer claims that it is a "characteristic" of the mirror. Passenger side mirror has absolutely no issues I.e.. no shakes or vibrations at any speed in city or highway.
