I paid $1,170.00 plus tax for an upgraded stereo Rockford Fosgate. I never thought the stereo sounded like anything that was higher quality. I had some vandalism done on my driver door and the repair shop had to take the driver's door panel off. This was when I realized that I don't have Rockford Fosgate speakers, I have CLARION speakers in my car. CLARION comes standard in ALL Nissans. So what have I paid for??? I contacted Nissan of North America about this problem and they told me that this was not possible, that the 2014 Nissan was the car that came out with Rockford Fosgate. Rockford Fosgate is PLAINLY written across the speakers on both front doors. I explained this to the Nissan representative and they told me again that the only thing I had in my 2013 Juke was a subwoofer that was Rockford Fosgate.
I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau and I plan on retaining a lawyer. I feel that I am NOT THE ONLY PERSON who has purchased this vehicle with an upgraded stereo system. TAKE YOUR DOOR PANELS OFF AND LOOK!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE ROCKFORD FOSGATE SPEAKERS, YOU HAVE CLARION. At nearly $1200 a pop, think of how much money that Nissan is making off of a name they have slapped over their speakers which ARE NOT ROCKFORD FOSGATE BUT CLARION. THIS IS DECEPTIVE MARKETING, ADVERTISING AND SALES PRACTICE AND I DO NOT THINK A COMPANY SHOULD BE DOING THIS. IF I PAY FOR SOMETHING, I'M LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, I EXPECT TO GET IT.
