This was the straw that broke the camels back for our Nissan Rogue. After replacing the transmission and the drive line my wife was not willing to put any more money into this vehicle. While driving home on a hot day the AC suddenly stopped working. I immediately suspected the AC compressor. After bringing it to a shop and getting a quote of almost $1200 we decided to tough out the summer months. Fast forward another month and the AC compressor decided to throw all of it's coolant on the side of the car while driving.
The labor is the real cost here. The parts to fix this are about $250 online. At the end of the day we decided to cut our losses and bought a new Mazda CX-5. I'll never buy another Nissan and will avoid CVT transmissions at all costs.
