Rogue S Special Edition 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 49,250 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

2013 Nissan Rogue S, Special Edition AWD, 50577 miles cvt transmission problems including whining noise, lack of acceleration, vibration from both transmission and brake issues. Calipers partly seized, new rotors and premium brake pads all 4 wheels, brake lube applied as specified. Nissan dealer said faulty Jatco cvt transmission. Warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles so vehicle is out of warranty. 2010-2010 Rogue with same faulty Jatco transmission had warranty extended to 10 years or 120,000 miles.

2013 most mechanically troublesome year, Nissan refuses to extend transmission warranty. Customer must pay huge cost of transmission replacement even though it is well known by Nissan and their dealers that the Jatco cvt transmission is faulty and has been known to fail from 30,000 miles up even though vehicle has been properly maintained. There should be a class action lawsuit about these faulty Nissan Jatco cvt transmissions especially for low mileage Rogues which Nissan refuses to replace under warranty. The faulty brake issue also needs to be covered by Nissan as well. So sad for a senior citizen living on a small fixed income who bought this vehicle new, has given it excellent care and service and is now faced with a huge repair bill or vehicle replacement.

Rogue S 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 450 miles

We were on our way out of state.. when we approach a "chain" of cars in which the first one was waiting to turn off.. & my husband slammed on the brakes, we slowed but never came to a stop!! We rear ended the car in front of us! Luckily, we were not going any faster than approx. 40mph! The front end was smashed & the air bags deployed.. other than bumps & bruises.. they did total our car only after a week of our purchase! BE CAUTIOUS OF THEIR BRAKES!!!

*ABS brakes are suppose to pulse or even pressed hard enough will lock down!! Neither of these happened! There wasn't even black marks on the road after slamming on the brakes!! *Hoping this one was the only one with the defect!!!!
