The contact's mother owns a 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated that while her mother was driving at approximately 35-40 MPH, the vehicle crossed an intersection at a green light when another vehicle crashed in between her mother's front and rear passenger's side doors, causing the vehicle to spin. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact's mother was not injured, and no medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was not yet deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance since the email address on file did not match. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
While my wife was travelling onto a service ramp to enter Hwy 820 west, she didn't see any vehicles on the service road. When she looked forward, she saw a car stopped, without tale lights on. As she got closer, she noticed the car was not moving. She was slowing down, but when noticing the car not moving, she pressed harder on the brakes. The roads were wet, and she slide into the car. While the seat belts held, none of the air bags deployed. No police report provided. She called them, but since nobody needed an ambulance, they indicated nobody was hurt. She did tell them she and her mom were in pain.

The contact stated while attempting to merging to the right on the highway at 10 mph, a vehicle crashed into her driver side of her vehicle causing a spin out. The contact stated her daughter sustained a 2 inch laceration to the back center of her head, bruising to her left eye and leg. Emergency officials were alerted. The contact stated she drove her daughter to the hospital where she received staples to her wound. No warning lights were illuminated and the air bags did not deploy. The other vehicle's driver sustained broken hand and laceration on hands. The vehicle was towed to superior collision repaired 1008 North robin St nixa, mo 65714. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified; the local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,000. The vehicle was deemed totaled.
THE CONTACT OWNED A 2020 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, WHEN SHE DROVE OVER BLACK ICE WHICH MADE HER SLID AND CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG THAT WAS UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL HIT HER LOWER LEFT LEG, CAUSING IT TO SWELL AND NEEDING MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED SHE NEEDED SURGERY DUE TO THE INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE INSURANCE DEEMED THE VEHICLE LOSS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TOWING LOT. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT DIAGNOSED REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,806. Consumer stated bottom airbag caused injuries to the lower left leg which had to have surgery.
