Poor defroster performance on drivers side windshield at all times due to actuator failure. Part cost less than $35 shop labor quoted $1,300. Few owners can afford the repair. Poor design of actuator
The heater failed to work. On cold frosty mornings, I could not use my front window defroster because it failed to blow hot air. This could cause an accident because a driver cannot see out a frosted window. The water valve that controls movement of hot engine coolant into the heater core needed replaced to work properly. The service technician admitted that he has a to replace many of these electronic water valves. It sounds like there might be a nationwide problem with electronic water valves failing....updated 12/03/15 updated 05/21/18
