There was already a recall on the dysfunction of the brake lights. I got it fixed, according to the recall. All seemed well, but I am now about a year (longer?) after the recall and it seems to not have worked. I know, very well, of someone who owns a year later of the same car, had the same recall, and it also ended up going back to the malfunctioning. I know too well, a service isn't guaranteed after a year. Where does a recall, that didn't get fixed properly, have a time limit on getting fixed!

While driving on highway at 60 mph on highway right line almost at my exit. The gps fell from the window and must of hit the area of the shift column it didn't come out of drive though. The car shut off. I was able to move over to the shoulder push the flashes and emergency break when the brakes did not work just a large nose steering didn't work well. Bringing it to the dealership and have them check the steering column out again. This is the 2nd time the car shut off while driving I feel this is a part of the original recall in 2015 that listed this make, model and year Pontiac G6 2007 Massachusetts route 2 West leominster. MA. restarted the car, got to my destination, and drove home that night lower speeds.

The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the brake lights remained illuminated on the vehicle. The brake lights would disengage when the brake pedal was depressed with great force. The failure was intermittent. The dealer diagnosed that the pedal position sensor needed to be replaced. The contact believed that the diagnosis was incorrect because the pedal position sensor had been replaced two weeks prior to the diagnostic test. The vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (electrical system, electronic stability control, exterior lighting, service brakes, hydraulic, vehicle speed control), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the brake lights would remain illuminated while driving after the recall repair was performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

My car was recalled due to brake lights coming on and losinig cruise control. Was repaired at my local GM dealership ion 9/04/2014 in compliance with safety recall. Recently the same problem started again. I took my care for the final recall to my dealership for the transmission shift cable and also reported to them the failure of the brake lights once again. I was told that that recall repair was done and they found nothing wrong, I responded with the part they fixed for this problem needs to be replaced because it failed again after the recall fix. They responded that the part was not replaced it was fixed with dialetic grease and a zip tie. Please check into this problem again for it seems like GM has just put a band aid on a gushing wound to avoid paying and fixing the problem permanently. And I am stuck either paying hundreds of dollars the dealer quoted or continue driving a car that could get me killed! for now the brake lights either stay on or may not work at all, even in park with the car idling they stay on until I tap the brakes then they sometimes do not come on when tapped again.

General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 2004-2012 Malibu, 2004-2007 Malibu maxx, 2005-2010 Pontiac G6, 2007-2010 Saturn aura vehicles. On these vehicles, over time an increased resistance can develop in the body control module (BCM) connection system and result in voltage fluctuations or intermittency in the brake apply sensor (bas) circuit that can cause service brake lamp malfunction. As a result, the service brake lamps may illuminate when the service brakes are not being applied, or may not illuminate when the service brakes are being applied. Additionally, cruise control may not engage. If cruise control is engaged, additional service brake pedal travel may be required to disengage it. Service brake pedal application may not be required to move the shift lever out of park, or additional service brake pedal travel may be required to move the shift lever out of park. Traction control, electronic stability control, and panic braking assist features, if equipped, may be disabled. Service ESC and/or traction control tell-tales may illuminate with this condition. General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 2004-2008 my Chevrolet Malibu (gmx380) and 2005-2008 my Pontiac G6 with 4-speed transmissions (MN5); except for vehicles already repaired under safety recall 12106 12V-460 with labor code V2671 or V2672 and 2007 and some 2008 my Saturn aura vehicles equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission (ME7/MN5). These vehicles have a condition in which the transmission shift cable may fracture at any time.

Takata recall for about a month now my vehicle has been randomly dying. I was on the highway when suddenly everything locked up I couldn't stop, couldn't brake, the engine seized and I was unable to restart the car. The steering wheel was moving in both directions by itself, then locked up. I had to get out and push the car into a safe place and was unable to re-start it.

We have been having trouble with car since we purchased it about a year or two ago we financed our threw browns auto world fayetteville, nc and since then we have trouble with the air bag light randomly coming and shutting off are brakes were put on backwards we also had alot of trouble with acceleration of the car you could only get up to a certain speed of the car before it began to shake, the end result being the camshaft sensor, and brakes. We have also had a situation with the fuel pump which a mechanic said was very weak from the begining. We have recieved several recalls on the car but everytime we took it GM motors they looked up the VIN and said our was fine but it matched was written on the recalls so my question is where do I go from here" what is my next step"

While driving down the highway the right front break caliper locked up without the brake being pressed. The vehicle started to slow down on its own and the front end was shaking very hard. We were in the fast lane on the highway when the brake locked up, when we stopped the right front brake caliper was locked in place and smoke was coming from the wheel. It has happened 6 times. 4 of those times were while driving down the highway shortly after cruise control was engaged. The other 2 times were while driving down the street in town. Pontiac was notified they paid for diagnostic in case it was related to a recent recall but did not pay for the repairs.
