1) power steering unit seems to be going in out while driving. After it acts up there is a lot of plat in the steering until the car is shut off. There has been a recall on same year model of G6's for same issue. Started last summer then stopped over the winter, then started again this spring. 2) passenger airbag sensor doesn't work all of the time, or will shut off while someone is sitting in the seat. Know recall on other models of same year like above. Has done this since we bought it from the dealer. They told us it would cost us $$$$ to fix it.

Passenger air bag sensing system. Air bag module needs to be replaced. This is a recall for certain 2007 Pontiac G6 vins but mine is not covered. Should the recall cover more vins if I'm having the same issue as other same year model G6's?

"takata recall" I have contacted you on several occasions regarding this matter. The air bags and brakes (front/rear) are not working properly. The ab light continuously blanking the words "needs to be serviced" and I've had the brakes repaired and still hear a noise upon impact.

Passenger side air bag seat sensor failure. Common problem, thousands of complaints reported online. This is a serious issue that GM refuses to fix. This should be a recall, lives are at risk because of this equipment failure. "service airbag" displays on radio and dash lights after passenger exits vehicle and some times while vehicle is in motion.

The "service airbag" warning light came on yesterday for no apparent reason. There have been no liquid spills on either driver or passenger seats, ever. "deep dive" researching this topic online suggests GM did a failure analysis and knows the mysterious warning light problem and it's root cause. GM recalled just 359 individual cars of my type and vintage. Ironically, the same recall covers many other GM vehicle types of multiple year models. There are apparently as many complaints from owners outside those otherwise approved for recall repair. GM appears to be following the Fiat/Chrysler playbook related to the Jeep zj fuel tank recall in the later case. Reading the accident events reported and injury related to what appears to be unwarranted and/or illegitimate G6 airbag service airbag / non-deployment events, it sound like there may be more than 359 each 2007 Pontiac G6's with similar bad air bag sensors that GM should otherwise want to and unilaterally with "arms wide open" invite customers to have them make the safety repair under the same recall, or just as a customer "good will" gesture. Others who have contacted GM claim the customer no service feedback attained is regret that there is nothing GM customer care can do, since their vins are outside the "359". repair estimates I've read about are upwards of $850 - $900. Meanwhile, there are websites that will take and reset the airbag sensing module for $45. Customers apparently found the $45 reset fixes the issue satisfactorily. Wishing GM would get bigger pants on and look beyond the little number and instead think instead about the potential "big number", as Fiat/Chrysler learned about in thier 1986 - 1988 Grand Cherokee zj case... one Grand Cherokee fuel tank location safety event alone.. South Georgia boy burned alive in his carseat ~ $50 million dollar settlement. Smart Chrysler, smart GM.

"service air bag" comes across the dic indicating it needs service done to it. Turn vehicle off and back on and the light goes away. If the car is turned on (tried many times) and someone is sitting in the passenger seat, the service message comes on after a few tries. All connectors have been checked and liquids have not been spilled on the seats.

At random times (every time the vehicle is operated), the passenger side airbag alert light illuminates (accompanied by a 3-tone alert) and a dash message saying "service air bag." The dealer diagnosed this as a faulty passenger-side airbag sensor. There is been a previous recall for these sensors (GM recall no. 06143; NHTSA campaign #07V146000), but it was limited to 359 vehicles. My vehicle's VIN number was not included in that recall, so the dealer refused to replace the sensor free of charge, quoting $900 for repair/replacement. A search on safercar.gov website shows 81 other complaints about 2007 Pontiac G6 airbags as of 9-27-2016, many with similar symptoms to my vehicle, so there are obviously problems with Pontiac's airbag sensors systems that extend beyond the initial recall. Since this is a serious safety issue, it is imperative that Pontiac extend the recall to include the additional vehicles affected. A conversation with Pontiac yielded a typical response: "your vehicle is not included in the initial recall, so there's nothing we can do."

While driving or stationary as I turn the wheel either way I here a clacking noise. I thought it was my C.V. axles but my joints are still sealed. So I began to think it was my steering column because after a certain amount of turning it for really really hard to turn then a load clack then it would pass the stress point turn easier but still make the clacking noise when turning it back. That would happen in both directions.

We have been having trouble with car since we purchased it about a year or two ago we financed our threw browns auto world fayetteville, nc and since then we have trouble with the air bag light randomly coming and shutting off are brakes were put on backwards we also had alot of trouble with acceleration of the car you could only get up to a certain speed of the car before it began to shake, the end result being the camshaft sensor, and brakes. We have also had a situation with the fuel pump which a mechanic said was very weak from the begining. We have recieved several recalls on the car but everytime we took it GM motors they looked up the VIN and said our was fine but it matched was written on the recalls so my question is where do I go from here" what is my next step"
