Rust appearing on left front corner of hood (Rust Bubbles) and areas along both side edges of the hood. When first contacted one of the local dealership was told not covered via bumper to bumper warranty. Didn't feel the info was correct think the guy was a newbie. After checking further found there is a corrosion warranty. When I did get the correct info vehicle was 15 days out of warranty. Contacted Ram home office was told to take it to one of the dealers body shop where they would take pictures and send them to their Digital Imaging Team. This has been done, am now waiting to here what their decision will be. Will try to post update when I here something.

Update from Sep 24, 2018: Its been a month since me complaint no word from Chrysler (Ram Truck), so I call them the body shop. Told me they forgot about me. Said they did get a email back from their Image Digatal Team stated same old disclaimer reference warranty. 15 Days out of date, sorry Charlie your screwed...Nothing they are going to do about it. Guess I can let it rust and fall apart or spend $600 and have them sand down the hood a repaint it. Think what I"ll do is put a sign on it and let everyone I know how good their paint jobs are.

excessive rust on hinges for all 4 doors

Chrysler refuses to accept responsibility. I have had other RAM owners complain about the same issue for their vehicles and they also received no assistance from the dealership. I guess our doors will fall off once the rust works itself through the metal.

Rust started on bumper 2 months after I bought it. Originally thought it was just brake dust or something but continued to rust through the chrome. Brought it to the attention of the service department and they had no issue ordering me a new bumper. No complaints with service. Walked through the lot and saw 2 other 2013 Rams rusting out on the rear bumper.

chrome bumper rusting

Gave the truck a good wash once it finally warmed up outside, and four deep rust marks in the rear chrome bumper. Took it to the dealership, and they advised it was from "Customer Neglect" - in other words, it was because I did not put on any mudflaps when I bought it. They have said it is because rocks kicked up from the tires, and damaged the bumper which is now rusting.

The dealership was all too happy to sell me on thousands of dollars of "Paint Protection" and "Fabric Protection", but no one thought to tell me to put on $300.00 of mudflaps.

I still dont think it is from rock damage, because of where the rust has developed.

I am currently working with my Sales Rep to see if there is something that can be done.

I will update this, as soon as I hear back but wanted to see if any others are having the same issues with rust on the chrome bumpers - especially on a vehicle that is only 6 months old.
