Various electrical issues. Including:

1. Randomly, the phone won't connect.

2. Randomly, the phone connects but I can't use SIRI.

3. Randomly, the radio will change stations and/or go from FM to AM.

4. Randomly, the system switches from radio to phone.

There's other issues with the electrical system. I can't remember them all. As I think of others, I'll update this post.

1500 Express 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

Issues: Radio/ OBC will reboot up to 10 times while driving to work 10 miles away The radio freezes up cannot turn the channels or volume up or down up to 20 times in 4 hour span When driving down city streets small pot holes will cause the radio/OBC turn off and back on Radio / computer will not turn off alway on.... only can mute

Cannot update software because Mopar have none available to date. BUT the dealershit wants me to come and spend $495 to troubleshoot the radio/ OBC as and end result requiring me to buy a new radio for $1900 after they troubleshooting. I asked the dealership service advisor what are the odds that there's a loose wire behind the radio? She said 100% its not a wiring problem. Reading thru the internet 1000's of people have had this same problem with Radio/OBC from 2009 to 2020 still.

Whats the deal am SOL on getting this resolved without spending a zillion dollars.

Thanks any feedback is helpful..

1500 ST 4x4

  • Automatic transmission

Wipers inoperable. Also the upper and lower trailer hitch input keeps blowing fuses for the left brake lights when connecting to a trailer. Performed diagnostic to find fuse blowing when key is on. Traced and inspected wiring from motor to tipm, all fine, no chaffs or pinched wiring between attaching screw. Repaired wiring and rerouted wiring and replaced fuse and retested. All seems fine
