High pressure fuel pump went out. Dealer refuses to repair stating no parts available since 2022. I purchased vehicle used June 2023, did not know it had a active recall that said "do not sell". Pump went out 4 mo later while driving highway speeds, been parked at dealership for 4 months. No loaner, no attempt to repair, no apology, just say cant do a thing about the 2 year old recall. 1. seems bad faith to sell a flawed veh that has do not sell on recall. 2. no offer to trade it back, fix it or give loaner. 3. repair parts are all over internet including Mopar sales has over 2000 available, dealer said they have no parts.
Has had the "Hemi tick" ever since I bought it new. But didnt seem to effect performance, so I thought.......Time went on and the "tick" became louder and louder even though I got the oil changed religiously, air filters, tires, (2) tune ups, all proper maintenance was performed for the livelihood and longevity of the truck accordingly and have receipts to back up that claim. Now, at about 100,000 miles i had to replace the rear differential and axle of which i noticed was a recall of the same year and same truck but they say according to my vin number there are no recalls.......well, we need to include my truck in some of these because ive already paid out of pocket for the same problem listed in the recall. Also, regarding the active class action "HEMI TICK" lawsuit, low and behold, as i accumulated more miles, it gravitated to a loud tick, and an extreme loss of power when trying to accelerate to get on a highway or pass somebody on the highway, or even just take off from a green light.....it runs higher rpm than normal, the combustion is incorrect for sure, If I needed to hit the gas to get out of the way of danger, chances of success are grim. Twice I was on the highway going 70 and it straight up died, went blank! We were ok, thank God! My miles per gallon has dwindled away lower and lower getting about 8-11 mpg. It overheated this last summer in this condition. Anytime I parked and idled i had to have the hood open to prevent overheating. Took it to a couple auto shops and after replacing the fan clutch twice, the PCM, the throttle body/position sensor, accelerator position sensor, radiator flush, new radiator cap..........we cleared all error codes being we replaced the problems causing it to present a clear operating truck error free..........all except the engine light when turning the key to power on, it blinked 10 times. Took it to dealership who quoted 800 to tear down the engine to get to the lifters and camshaft. $5,250 quote for lawsuit problem.

The inaction of FCAUS/Stellantis is a danger to the livelihood and safety of owners of affected vehicles and the safety of drivers that share the roads with owners of affected vehicles.

Good afternoon, I have filed multiple complaints regarding recall 22V-406 (11501200, 113003170). It has been over 1.5 years since the recall was issued and there is still not resolution. The NHTSA site mentions if there isn't a fix within a reasonable time, then to contact you again. 1.5 years does not seem reasonable when it comes to a safety hazard. The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the message motive power reduced was displayed. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The contact drove for twenty miles at a reduced speed to his destination. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with a failed exhaust filter. The contact was informed that the exhaust filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the repair was completed; however, the recall repair was not completed. The dealer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from then vehicle and then smelled fumes coming from the vehicle. The check engine warning light and check fuel cap warning light were illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 71,625.
The electric power steering system went out while driving. The truck had been checked for codes that day which indicated a possible need to replace the egr valve but nothing about power steering. I was in a parking lot and was able to pull into a space but was unable to get home.
RECALL dated June 09, 2022 NHTSA Recall Number 22V-406 VIN: 1C6RR7NM1GS325036 2016 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel. It has been over one year since I received the recall notification. The part is still unavailable. This is a high risk problem, as the safety risk is "fuel starvation which may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning." This is grossly unacceptable. This is the first of 2 RECALLS! I would like the manufacturer to BUY BACK this vehicle at a reasonable price.
Truck shuts off on its own mostly at low speed but in traffic for years Ram told me they could not find a problem. now ram says they know what's wrong but they don't know how to fix. recall (66a) (z46) been trying for years to get this fixed. stalled four times in traffic yesterday. Called Ram and they don't when or if then will be able to fix.
I bought a 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel brand new from a Dodge, Ram, Jeep dealership. November 2021 I taking my son, who was 11 years old at the time, to a friends house. The route to the friend's house was through a farm area and the roads were hilly with moderate traffic. I remember driving down one of the hills and starting hearing an odd sound coming from the engine. The sound was sort of like a light thud or rocking sound. It started off quiet and soft at first but start getting louder and louder. We weren't very far from our destination so we continued on. We came to a stop at a stop sign at an intersection then proceeded through it when traffic was clear. We got up to about 35 MPH and the sound from the engine became extremely loud then all of the sudden the engine seized/shut off and all the electronic shut down. The power steering and power brakes were not receiving and any power so it became really hard to control the vehicle. I struggled to turn the steering wheel to the side of the narrow county road and was eventually able to stop the vehicle. I tried to restart the vehicle multiple times and each time was unsuccessful. Since the vehicle would not start, I had to order a tow truck to tow the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership looked at my truck and told me the crankshaft failed and they metal from the crank in my oil pan. When they told me this I started doing research to see if anybody else had this problem. I found a recall for 2014-2018 Ram ecodiesel trucks (W58/NHTSA 20V-475) that came out in February 2021. I brought this up the the service tech at the dealership and said it didn't matter me since my VIN was not included in the recall. Service tech recommended engine gets replaced since the metal found in the oil pan broke off from the crankshaft and traveled through the engine. The truck was towed back to my residence and has yet to be repaired. 6/8/23 - FCA Recall #66A/NHTSA Recall #23V-411 announced and my VIN is included.

There has been no incident yet. This recall (22V-406) has not been addressed in about a year. I feel that the manufacturer is not accepting their responsibility. I have been not using this vehicle very much because of the potential of this shutting down the engine unexpectedly. I'm certainly not pulling my boat to go fishing. If this catastrophic failure occurs a RAM mechanic told me that it would be a total engine rebuild at around $10,000. Can the manufacturer be reminded that this recall needs to be fixed ASAP?
I was driving down the highway at 75 mph and my truck died in the middle of the highway luckily I pushed it off to the shoulder and it wouldn-??t restart had it towed to a shop where I was told the crankshaft tone ring needed to be replaced but no parts to fix it due to -??back order-?? this has been recalled but doesn-??t show a fix on my vehicle and it needs to be fixed immediately.
