2016 Dodge Ram eco diesel, I was driving on the expressway oil pressure gauge went to 0 heard heavy knocking pilled over engine seized, I take really good care of my truck, Dealer always made the oil changes, I never had an issue, dealer is looking at pending their finding to see if it is under warranty. But surfing the web there are several problems with the same method.

In addition I drove the truck in a field Dodge has been advertising for many years that they are also off -road vehicles. I don't off road, I drove my truck on a grass field somewhere and somehow grass got stuck around the drive shaft (I will get pics from the dealer and post it) and caused a wear on the rear seal pinion and also grass was stuck on the center pinion.

Warranty stated they will not cover but $62,000 for the truck they have no safety measures to prevent from this happening, Corporate stated get out of the truck and check to see if you have grass under the truck. Really any one had the same problem or do you know if aftermarket cover is available to prevent this happening again.

I am pissed off that I need to pay for my rear main seal $$$$$. I called on 10/09/2018 complaint department stated you will get a call back in two days. Never got one till I called them back today 10/15/2018 waiting for the dealer to advise about my engine.

We own 7 Chrysler products 3 are in the shop 1 for 4 months can not fix @ 25K miles, 1for 6 weeks need new engine at 20K miles and the 1500 waiting on parts for weeks now with 9K miles this 2016 Ram 3500 has been in the shop for 4 months. Chrysler has sent out there top Mechanics and they cannot fix the problem, they will not take the car back, they they will not help us. We have racked up over $5K in rental charges since January. Chrysler I have found out is the worst company to deal with when it comes to Service, they are rude they yell they hang up the phone and pretty much say Cash and Carry when it comes to there product.

1500 Laramie 3.0L Eco Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 101 miles

My 2016 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel stalled while reversing out of drive way. Could not drive for about 10 mins. Finally when truck worked engine light came on. My truck has 101 miles. It is new. No one wants a vehicle that has electrical issues after 2 days of purchase! According to dealer service department they have never heard of this happening. Right now they are replacing shifter knob. God forbid it his happens on freeway or intersection. But I have read of similar issues. I wish I could return! Could I?
