The vehicle has a faulty ABS module, which has resulted in my truck losing traction on dry roads and wet roads, however the -??wet-?? roads are a result of a minimal sprinkle. The vehicle is beyond a vital component of my ability to make a living, i work in construction and have to be able to safely move equipment and supplies to sites; as of right now I am unable to drive the vehicle. The faulty ABS module caused my brakes to lock while pulling out of a park space with a slight incline in my place of employment, resulting in the sliding backwards towards a company vehicle and to avoid hitting it I moved the steering wheel to collide with a brick wall. The brakes and rotors were replaced a few months earlier this year as well as the truck being serviced regularly, however, the truck has continued to have parts fail throughout this year. From the starter to the fuel injection system, pump, gaskets between the engine and fuel intake, and now the vehicle is literally completely unsafe to drive and operate on the road! The traction control regulator is apart of the ABS system control module! I have looked everywhere (Firestone, DARCARS, Ect.) to find a replacement part and have been told that there are none available until sometime in March of 2024! There are no other options for me to reach out to. The vehicle can be inspected if requested, the issue appeared 3-4 weeks ago before being brought into the firestone shop before being serviced for faulty gaskets and fuel injection issues. The vehicle is under 100,000 miles, and I purchased it with just over 43,000 miles. I am in the process of contacting my insurance company and collecting the various service charges from different repair shops resulting in the inability to get the part.

I was driving on I 90 in Indiana. It was raining and the road was straight. The service ABS light came on. A short time later, I heard a noise and slowed down to 50. Then the front right tire exploded. The tire was relatively new (past July]) with lots of tread. I pulled on to the shoulder and got out to see the brake glowing red hot and smoking. I believe the noise I heard before the explosion was the cv joint disintegrating. Traffic was flying past at 70 to 80 mph. I was in 2 wheel drive. The truck is a 4X4.

Front steer tire blowout. Driving in the city. After the blowout, I had to put on the temp spare. I noticed soft spots all over the tire. Where the blowout happened was also a soft spot. I would not be so concerned, but these tires had less than 26,000 miles on them and were what came from the factory when I purchased the truck brand new. They were made by Goodyear. I went and had all 4 tires replaced due to the safety concerns for myself and my family. Looking at the tires, they are severely underrated for the Ram 1500 ecodiesel.

I purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 in May 2019 with approximately 25K miles on it. A few days after purchasing I noticed a vibration coming from the rear of the truck that's causes the whole bed to shake around 65+ mph. Took the truck to a local shop and the mechanic pointed out to me the driveshaft was wobbling a little when he had the truck on the lift. Took the truck to two different Dodge dealers about the issue, the first dealer told me they couldn't replicate the problem. So I went on a test drive with them and all of a sudden the noticed the vibration I was complaining about. Long story short they told me my tires(only 25,000 miles) were bad and I should replace them, get an alignment and the problem would be solved. So I did just that and the vibration of the whole bed was still there, they rebalanced the tires and the vibration was still present. After going to this dealer for the third time they basically told me they don't know what to because they checked everything including the driveshaft and nothing was wrong at all. A couple weeks later I go to another Dodge dealer about the same issue, and it's the same response "we can't replicate the problem". I test drive with the shop manager and all of a sudden he notices the vibration and tells me to leave the truck with him a couple days while he troubleshoots it. Two days later he calls and tells me that one of my back rims is bent and that's what's causing the vibration. I replace the rim, get all four tires balanced again for the third time and the vibration is still there.

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle experienced a violent vibration without warning. The vehicle was taken to Bonneville and son Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (625 hooksett rd, manchester, nh) where the technician recommended tire maintenance to repair the failure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to foss motors (133 portsmouth ave, exeter, nh), but the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 24,600.

Goodyear Wrangler sr-a tires that came on the truck from new were not holding pressure. One in particular ad to be aired up every few days. Dealer could not find a problem, local tire shop also could not find a hole. The tire became a flat whilst we were in an area with no cell service (no way to contact roadside assistance) therefore the spare was put on. The entire spare (a different size from the rest of the tires/wheels) fell off the next day. A stud on the hub was completely sheared. I was driving less than 10 mph. Chrysler said that because we put the spare on, it was not covered under warranty. Several issues here; -original tires should never have failed -spare wheel had a different rolling radius -why put a jack/spare in the truck if its not covered by warranty when you use it?

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. While driving 40 mph, the steering wheel inadvertently jerked to the left at a 90 degree angle. The vehicle drove off the road and onto a grassy median. The contact immediately depressed the brake pedal after the vehicle stopped and turned off the ignition. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove approximately half a mile to his home. There were no warning indicators illuminated when the failure occurred. The vehicle was towed the next day to garber Chevrolet Buick GMC (3340 us-17 green cove springs, fl 32043, 904-264-2442). The vehicle was test driven, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact was informed to replace both rear tires. The contact replied that replacing the tires was absurd because the vehicle was new. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 17,050.

My truck has a noticable vibration at highway speeds of 60 mph and above. After 3-4 trips to different dealerships, the problem still exists. After a quick search online, I realized that thousands of complaints have been posted on blogs related to this same problem with no solution from Chrysler/Ram. I have had the tires balanced/rotated/road forced balance, etc. Front drive shafts replaced (it's a 4X4 model) and still the same result... vibration at highway speeds. I'm not sure how many complaints are being filed with the NHTSA, but after reading numerous blogs, I would expect that fca would address this issue with a recall.

I have had 2 tires spontaneously fail in last two weeks. The first was on the highway and caused 2200 dollars in damage to the vehicle and almost causing a wreck. The second blew out while I was in my driveway traveling at less than 5mph. Both tires appeared to fail in the same way, perpendicular to the sidewalk across the tread.
