2019 Ram laramie 4X4, 5'7", crew cab with less than 9000 miles on it, getting intermittant "service airbags" messages with dinging alarm for past 2 weeks and now, getting "passenger seatbelt alarm" intermittently as well with my wife buckled securely in the passenger seat, while I'm driving.
Drivers side seat belt stitching came undone. When seat belt was put on and tightened down seat belt came thro bottom attachment point. Took vehicle to landmark Dodge was informed by service tech there that there was nothing they could do, due to truck being over 36,000 mile warranty.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. While driving 50 mph, a semi truck struck the front driver's side door of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact lost control and spun around a couple of times. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained injuries to the spine and base of her skull, her left leg was fractured, and her pelvis was shifted and needed realignment. The contact was taken to the emergency room and was seeking medical attention from a chiropractor several times a week. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the rear passenger tire was destroyed, which prevented the vehicle from being driven. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. When the contact purchased the vehicle on July 1, 2019, she was informed that it had been serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 19V407000 (air bags, seat belts). The manufacturer was notified and opened an investigation. The failure mileage was 3,466.
