I have a 2020 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Liter etorque engine. The water pump needs replaced. Standard wear part. The truck has been down since 10/22/2025. Today is 11/17/2025. According to Ram there are no water pumps available in the US for this popular engine. They do not expect any available until mid-December. I'll be down renting a car for 2 months over a water pump??? Standard part? While I watch Ram deliver 10 new trucks a day with the exact same engine to my local dealer. The part number 68261224AG. I have an open order and an open case with Chrysler customer care. I call every other day with the same "Sorry for your luck" from the other end of the phone.
A friend that worked at a Tampa area dealer told me to try Galena Chrysler Jeep Ram in Ft Meyer today 239-481-2600. Parts guy answered. He said there were two available and said they wanted $600 + $50 core charge. I told him I had an order open for one and it was $390 with a core charge. He said. "Our price is $600. So, bottom line is Ram could give a darn about current customers. I buy a truck every 5-6 years. How in good conscious can I go spend $75K more for a company who could care less to stand behind it's product and parts to keep it on the road.
