I have a 2014 Ram 2500, the truck has a vibration between 68mph-80mph. The dealer said I had a bad universal joint in the driveshaft. Replaced driveshaft still vibrates, mother said it's tires. Replaced tires and wheels and it still vibrates. I took it in again and they couldn't find anything wrong. I asked the dealer to pull the rear differential cover to make sure everything was within specs and they refused to do it under warranty and wants to charge me. There are many others having this same problem, you can feel the vibration in the floor, you can see the passenger seat shake, and see bottle of water shake in the center console. I will be making another appointment for this issue. This issue occurs at highway speed.

When accelerating then letting off accelerator for a brief moment then trying to re-accelerate there is no response / dead pedal delay for 2 seconds then the truck will accelerate. Very dangerous in traffic situations. Dealer is aware of problem and can duplicate all the time. No solution at this time.

This is regarding the 6.7L cummins engine. Throttle lag from a dead stop such as merging into traffic or crossing a road is dangerous. This lag could very well cause me to get rear ended or broad sided. There is also very significant lag after the gas pedal has been released and then pressed once again. An example is when slowing down when approaching a slower car and then changing lanes and pressing and accelerating to go around the vehicle.

I was in a left turn lane waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before commiting to my turn at a stop. I gradually depressed the accelerator to make the left turn. The truck rolled forward at a rate of about 1mph. With oncoming traffic approaching, I then fully depressed the accelerator pedal with no results. There was no change in RPM, no change in acceleration, or speed for an estimated 3 seconds. The truck then slowly accelerated and I narrowly missed being T-boned by oncoming traffic. This unsafe condition will also happen during highway speeds after returning the pedal to the idle position and then accelerating to pass traffic or enter another lane. I have lost 10-20mph at highway speeds with my foot fully depressing the pedal. There seems to be a total disconnect at times between the accelerator pedal position and engine RPM's/power. I would estimate the occurrence of this issue at 10-15% of accelerator inputs. The truck now has just over 9,000 miles and this has happened numerous times, some nearly causing an accident.

I bought a 2014 Ram 2500 in November of 2014 when I went to pick up the truck there was a 2 day delay because of a broken lock on the Ram box a few weeks later after getting lots of rain inside the Ram box it was in the repair shop to get one side adjusted and one side replaced. Next it went to an auto body shop to fix the paint after it was damaged from the repair. After the first car wash we had to have a sticker made that came off because it was not a Ram part but put on by a dealer where the truck came from. A couple weeks goes by to have the cruise control button fail so back in the shop for a new switch. Just when I thought all was good. Last week I was driving at a slow rate of speed up a gravel driveway and the truck began to jump violently and made a crazy loud noise after having it towed to the dealer they found the transmission mod failed and caused first gear to blow out. It is now sitting at the dealership waiting to have a new transmission put in it at only 2000 miles. Needless to say I have no faith left in this truck!

There was no accident thankfully. I took my truck to a dealership because it was shifting hard. I took it in twice and both times the dealerships wouldn't even look at it. They pluged it in to their computers and told me it needed an update. Finally one day I raised cane about it and they kept it and found that the torque converter was bad. They replaced it and the pump in the transmission. That took two weeks. I drove it 5 days after that and the truck got stuck in first gear and then natural and would not move. I took it back and they replaced the pump again. They test drove it and it threw a bearing in the transmission. Now they have had it for a month and it is still not fixed and they refuse to put a new transmission in it. I only have 27000 mile on it now. It is a new 70,000$ truck with a half way rebuilt transmission. And I still do not have my truck.

The rear differential locked up while towing our rv, which caused us to jackknife and subsequently flipping our rv. The rv is a total loss and the truck has significant damage. There was a loud pop or bang and then maybe a second or so before the rear end seized. The truck shut down during this which left us with no brakes for the rv and the truck almost flipped with rv. The mechanic at the service center showed us the spider gear shaft in the differential, which had broken loose somehow and jammed against the driveshaft gear, thereby locking the differential and powertrain. This seems to be a common problem with Ram trucks as the investigations have been going on for years. We were lucky enough to have just exited the freeway before this happened. If this had happened on the freeway, my wife and myself could have been killed and any number of drivers that were around us. The freeway we had just exited was pretty busy with semi's and cars alike. This kind of catastrophic failure on a new truck with only 4700 or so miles is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.

While towing approximately 11000 lbs, the vehicle began bucking aggressively while in 4th and 5th gear. We were towing three horses and had to slow the vehicle and downshift into third gear to get the bucking to stop. Also, the vehicle will not up-shift after utilizing the transmission braking feature when descending a grade while towing. You have to manually disable the tow haul mode and wait for transmission to shift. Chrysler is aware of the problem, has had many customer complaints, and has no fix at this time other than tow in third gear. Beware when towing livestock or towing on slippery roads, this transmission bucking problem is severe enough to cause injury to your animals or cause you to lose control of your vehicle. It feels like the transmission slips in and out of gear. This problem is well documented and and acknowledged by the dealer and Chrysler.

A dead throttle pedal occurs at two different instances. One, when from a dead stop pulling out into traffic. The accelerator pedal will press but the vehicle will not go or change RPM for a second, then the vehicle will move. Two, when trying to pass someone, occasionally the vehicle will exhibit the same dead pedal response for a moment then accelerate. This is most definitely unsafe for my family. Multiple dealerships have told me they cannot replicate the problem, but I have researched online and many others have experienced the same. It is a concern that must be fixed.
