This issue relates to code U010c -€œlost communication with turbo charger supercharger A-€. When the engine brake is turned on the engine brake can remain on during this malfunction and the vehicle loses power. If the fault code above occurs at highway speed and the engine brake was activated the engine brake can remain on even if the accelerator is pressed and the engine brake is manually turned off. This situation required me to quickly move to the shoulder and shut the engine off to reset the fault code. This has happened to me several times. My vehicle only has 34k miles but the warranty has expired. The turbo actuator tests ok until the engine is at operating temperature. The actuator electronic control malfunctions at normal engine operating temperature. The dealer wants to replace the entire turbo. There seems to be many aftermarket companies that make replacement actuators so I believe this is a common problem with Cummins turbo Diesel engines from 2012 to 2019 models.

Vehicle looses 6 mph before transmission shifts down to pickup speed, I am unable to use anywhere there is any type of incline. In order to use cruise control need to drive in truck lane to avoid being rear ended. Dealer claims that it is normal because they can't change any settings. You want date that the cruise control doesn't work that would be every day I drive my truck.

Speed control will not always work. When it does it will sometimes speed up or disengage on it's on. I had it at the dealer ship for recalls and told them about the issue, I was having they said they could find nothing wrong and no recalls at this time. Fyi this is 6.7 diesel and still having the problem.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 2500. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle accelerated and the flashing lighting bolt and check engine indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ron bouchard Chrysler Dodge Ram (978-345-1800, located at 288 lunenburg St, fitchburg, MA 01420) and repaired; however, the contact did not remember what was repaired. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer. The technician was able to duplicate the failure, but was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that someone would call the contact back. The contact was not called back. The failure was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000. The VIN was not provided.

I have purchased a vehicle from Canada that is currently being held in customs. There is an open recall (18V-486) that is currently tagged as "remedy not available". the vehicle manufacturer has no timetable available for the release of the parts required to fix this recall, so my vehicle can be fixed and released from customs.

The speed control will not shut off when the switch is activated. I took the truck to the Ram truck dealer in temecula, ca (dch Chrysler, Dodge, Ram) in Jan 2018 with this complaint but to no avail; they couldn't find a problem. Now I read where over 5 million fca vehicles are affected with this issue. My truck does not appear on the nhsta or Ram truck websites when I enter the VIN and search for this recall. Now what? it still has the problem and I won't use the speed control.

This report follows the NHTSA report 11051041 of unintended acceleration in the same 2015 Ram 2500 truck (11/4/17). On 2/10/18, the 2nd and 3rd episodes occurred. After a hard acceration to 70 mph, the truck did not slow in response to braking. The engine continued to rev. After two applications of the brakes, I pushed the transmission into neutral and hit the hazard flashers. Even in neutral and with the brakes applied, the engine continued to rev, but the truck slowed very gradually. I eased to the side of the road, and pushed it into park. The engine continued to rev. Engaged the emergency brake, and turned the truck off. While trying to regain control, slow the truck and get it off of the road, a message flashed twice. I believe the message was--service electronic throttle. But I am not sure. The messages literally blinked on and off, and I was struggling with the truck. The first episode of unintended acceleration in this truck was terrifying. This episode felt much more dangerous. If I had not read extensively about the problem of unintended acceleration and strategies for regaining control of the vehicle, the outcome could have been much worse. And, my husband and I had practiced strategies for regaining control while driving to other places and when the truck was operating normally. After parking I called my husband. He came to the location. The truck was turned off for ten minutes. We switched trucks. He got into the Ram and started it. The engine was again revving. He turned the truck off and restarted it. The engine started normally. He then took the truck to an auto supply store to pull the codes. There was nothing. The truck was driven home. It is permanently parked and is dangerous to drive. Accidents have only been avoided because we live in a rural area with sparse population and traffic, coupled with wide roads.

On November 4, 2017 at about 10:30 am after hard acceleration to 70 mph on an open four lane highway in clear weather, and application of brakes, the truck re-accelerated on its own with no pressure on the fuel pedal. Upon application of the brakes, the truck slowed but when pressure removed from the brakes, the truck re-accelerated. It took three separate applications of the brakes, before the unintended acceleration stopped, and the truck was again under control. The truck was taken later that day to a local auto parts store, and the codes scanned. There was no indication of anything amiss. The following week the truck was taken to the dealership where it was purchased. They again scanned the codes, which revealed no malfunctions. The mechanics test drove the truck trying to replicate the sudden unintended acceleration but were unable to do so.

Vehicle "dead pedal" throttle response is downright dangerous. When accelerator is pushed to the floor to get out of the way of traffic the truck is unresponsive for several seconds and came mean life or death in certain situations. This has been a problem since new but fca will not correct the issue!! please help get this corrected, we do not need someone to die before it gets corrected.

Nothing has happened so far. Steering wheel switches for electronic display quit working. Air bag indicator flashes some time. Radio controls intermittent. Cruise control sometimes works, sometimes doesn't I suspect defective clock spring in this vehicle. I see there is a recall for other Fiat Chrysler models but not this one. I think this one needs to be included as well.

Truck has a dead pedal feeling when you try to rapidly accelerate from a stop or a near stop. This is dangerous when trying to accelerate into or across oncoming traffic.

Engine: Heavy diesel smell when coming to a stop or at a stop when the def regeneration process in active. Power train: Loud clunk noise from driveline shifting from 3/4 or 4/5 and letting off the accelerator at the right time. Speed control: Dead accelerator pedal. This occurs if there is a slight acceleration followed by a release of the pedal and an immediate re-application of full throttle. The response is delayed by 3-4 seconds or not at all.

I pressed the accelerator as I crossed through an intersection then I released, and I immediately went to press it again with no throttle response. The throttle response is so slow it almost caused me to have accident. This is not the first either but I thought it just may be a fluke until now. I have have owned my truck for about 4 months and the throttle lag has happened too many times to count. Crossing the hwy is very unsafe as you press the gas pedal, release, and press again there is a huge delay. This is definitely a safety issue which seems to be getting worse. Also I have seen many complaints online with the same issue. Please look into this further before it causes preventable deaths to occur. The throttle response delay needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

The truck has a "dead pedal" when you floor the gas pedal. It takes a few seconds to go forward. Ive had traffic speed up when pulling out from a stop sign and try and push the gas pedal and theres nothing. I spoke to the dealer and was told it was turbo lag. This is not turbo lag. Ive owned many turbo cars and trucks and none have had this issue. This is a major safety issue and is being discussed on many forums. Every Ram 2500 diesel truck has this issue.
