ABS module and hydraulic control units replaced in 2019, after driving the truck less than 20k miles the exact same issues have returned. Truck is out of warranty now, no cruise control, ABS, or traction control. Very common issue amongst 2017-2018 Rams. Second issue happened recently when temps dropped below freezing. DEF system fault - DEF injector checked for crystallization. No crystals - truck will go into limp mode rendering it useless due to an inferior component manufacture is aware of and have addressed on new models but have not afforded older models a solution.

When pulling out onto a busy intersection you push the pedal down and the vehicle stumbles or completely doesn't react. It has caused me to almost be involved in a side collision because I couldn't get power to cross a lane of traffic. I called dealer and they say its a common thing that happens and there is currently no fix. They are calling it ""dead pedal"" Ram has to have a fix for this. After researching online I have heard a egr delete and tune will fix the issue. Egr delete is illegal in my state and I do not want to modify my vehicle from factory specs. This is a very unsafe condition and Ram needs to make a fix for the issue.

While driving my vehicle at approximately 35 miles per hour a vehicle turn in front of my vehicle and I depressed the brakes. The vehicle shutdown and was abandoned in the roadway due to loss of power. Vehicles behind me conducted evasive maneuvers narrowly missing my vehicle due to the defective product. I was able to determine the vehicle was equipped with a faulty fuel pump and it had broken into several pieces inside the fuel tank. This issue has been documented with Chrysler; however, they do not see it as a safety issue. Clearly loss of power while operating a vehicle on a busy roadway is a definite safety issue. This issue needs to be rectified before people are killed or injured. I lost power in brakes and steering.

On at 3 separate occasions, I have had the accelerator get stuck on what I believe is full throttle. Initially I thought it might be my floor mat, however it happened yesterday in a parking lot. So there was no reason for the peddle to get involved with the floor mat. I was accelerating, but obviously not to full throttle

The contact owns a 2017 Ram 2500. While driving approximately 45 mph, a strong odor of diesel fuel was present inside the vehicle. The odor was noticed ever since the vehicle was purchased in June of 2017. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (miracle Dodge in gallatin, Tennessee) where it was determined that the odor was normal for diesel fuel vehicles. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 100.
