The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the heated steering wheel feature activated, the steering wheel became extremely hot; making the vehicle difficult to maneuver because the contact was only able to hold the steering for several seconds while driving. The contact stated that the steering wheel was replaced a year prior due to a separate failure. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who observed that the steering wheel reached temperatures of more than 120-145 degrees. However, after consulting with the manufacturer, the dealer informed the contact that the feature was operating as intended and within specifications. The vehicle was not repaired.
