Significant Shaking At Idle

2015 Subaru Forester

This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Subaru dealer.

CarComplaints.com Notes: Subaru thinks burning through a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so is perfectly normal. That's a crude stance if you ask us.

2015 Forester developed a significant shake at idle. Took it to Subaru dealership 3 different times (2 different dealerships) and they were not able to fix. Kept saying that CVTs normally shake more at idle or that they "thought they had it fixed" but issue was still there.

I kept searching online and found where others were having same issue and it could be resolved by resetting ECU. Took to Subaru - they told me they reset ECU but still had same issue.

I disconnected battery for about 30 min to reset ECO on my own and then reconnected - the issue went away.
