The reason I purchased a Subaru was because of its history of longevity. I expected to have the car for well over 200k miles. I didn't even get to 150k! The new CVT transmissions are a scam for more money from the car companies. Do NOT buy any vehicle with the new CVT in it. My mechanic told me they are failures and the car companies won't admit it. So bad, sitting at a red light, hit the gas to take off and it bucks and almost stalls. A few times, the car behind me almost slammed into me. I should have let them, I would have probably gotten more money from the insurance company than I did for a trade in!! Let the insurance companies pay, they do for everything else.
