Hood latch failure on 1998 Subaru legacy Outback- while traveling at highway speed, hood latch failed and hood flew back into windshield and roof. Inability to see road ahead(very busy) nearly caused accident. Windshield and hood destroyed, roof dented, L, R front fenders required replacement.
