Took car in and was told tie rods, so replaced them and had aligned. Also noticed a bad tire at the time. Since tie rod replacement didn't work to solve, replaced the tires at Costco. Still bad steering wheel shimmy but drove 200 miles non-freeway until could afford more front end work. Spent $800 on more front end and alignment, and still shimmy. Took it back and they rotated tires and it all went away!!

I bought this car used in June...just as a winter car and it would vibrate at 57-65 mph and then disappear at speeds above that. Now it is doing it off and on at 30mph. Not constantly doing it. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all if not driven above 57. It is so frustrating to me. Had a new ball joint put on in September and the rest of the suspension checked out just fine. I have put only 1500 miles on it since June..What can it be?
