problem #2

Dec 022016

Outback Limited 2.5L

Low beam works as do the driving lights. When the high beams are switched on, either temporary with pull up on lever, or stay on with lever pushed towards the engine, the driving lights go off and the low beams stay on but the high beams do not come on. Replaced both bulbs and nothing changed. I see that someone else has the same problem with no solutions. Is it a problem with the switch?

Outback Limited 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission

The problem occurred in stages with the high beam failing to be operable in the headlight auto setting and then in the manual headlight on selection. The dashboard indicator light for the high beam does come on but the high beam lights do not
