Not more than 3 weeks after buying my car from a used car dealership for nearly twice what it was worth in order to get financing, I was driving down the road and realized as I tried to shift to fifth that I couldn't get there. After getting home I realized the whole casing had shifted and I coulnd't shift into 5th or reverse. I took the car back to the dealer, and since it had only been a couple weeks he took the car and sent it to a partner's garage where they found that one of the bolts that held the casing in place had been stripped. They drilled a new hole in the casing and gave it back to me telling me the problem was "fixed" and that I shouldn't experience it again. Well now it has been a few months and the problem has recurred. I don't know what the answer is and how do I pay someone to fix it if its not going to be fixed?!
