- Toyota Tacoma Steering Wheel Recall Expanded - The issue is that the steering wheel spiral cable rubs against the retainer inside the assembly, which over time can result in compromised connectivity to the driver’s-side airbag module. If this happens the drivers side airbag won’t work.

Took to dealership and of course the warning light wasn't on that day. Mechanic stated there were no codes stored in the computer and they couldn't duplicate the problem. I live over 2 hrs away from the dealership. By the time that I got home, the light had came back on. Wasted 2 of my days off taking the car up there and going back to get it. I plan on just driving up there on a day the light is on and telling them that I've duplicated the problem for them.
