The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated while his wife was driving 30 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to immediately stop. The driver stated that the oil service warning light was illuminated. The driver pumped the brake pedal forcefully to the floor to stop the vehicle. The driver was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V888000 (Services Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V012000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed and became soft, extending the braking distance. Additionally, the fuel gauge provided inconsistent fuel level readings. The vehicle was towed to keyes Toyota (5855 van nuys blvd, van nuys, ca 91401) where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank and fuel gauges needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer on 5 separate occasions due to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer however, the dealer offered no assistance. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 18V888000 (service brakes, hydraulic) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 900.
