Shaking and shuddering. My wife refuses to drive it. Last night when exiting off highway, the truck shook so bad I thought I was going to have an accident and hit the car in front of me. This is not a safe vehicle. Calling Toyota as soon as they open today. I already have a case open for the transmission. Mad as Hell!!
Update from Dec 21, 2019 Back at the dealership for the 3rd time on Dec 19, 2019. AutoNation Toyota of Weston, FL. I drove with lead tech, Ben to duplicate my complaints. Ben acknowledged the issues with the truck of shuddering when braking and searching for gears. They kept the truck and gave me a loaner. I received a call next day and said that they reset the transmission computer and the everything was good to go. When I drove the truck, nothing had changed and the truck still shuddered when braking. It was still searching for gears. Spoke with Hector the service manager and Julie of Toyota customer service and was told that these are common traits with Tacomas and is as designed. I told Toyota I want a new vehicle and was told there's basically nothing they can or will do for me.
Update from Jan 3, 2020 Received call from Julie at Toyota Customer Service telling me that Toyota and the dealership have closed the case as they claim the vehicle drives as design and there is nothing wrong with it. Bulls***!!
